sous vide rack

I have the Anova and the pouches gather near the circulator after the first few minutes of use. I looked at the pouch rack offered by sousvide supreme. The dimensions are not listed so I am not sure if it would fit in my cooler. If anyone owns this (Cen-tex or the like), please give me the measurements of the rack. Any other ideas to keep the pouches away from the circulator would also be appreciated.

Sorry, out of town so someone else will hopefully chime in with the measurements, but i think a plate should suffice.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

It works well. I use it with a polyscience unit in a cambro polycarbonate container. I'm using it right now so I can't give you the dimensions but I'll do it after I am done doing diner (if someone doesn't chime in before).____________________Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. •Niccolo Machiavelli

Ok, thanks to both of you! I tried a cookie cooling rack but it was too big for the cooler and was a pain to cover with foil over top. It stuck up too high.LBGE 4/2012, MBGE 6/2012 & Mini 11/2013Rome, GA

Thank you @paqman!!! It will work...but I will try the V rack idea and my rib rack too.Do the pouches stay put? I hope they don't eventually float out..LBGE 4/2012, MBGE 6/2012 & Mini 11/2013Rome, GA

I use a stock pot, bulldog clips on the rim to hold the bags still, the Anova puts up a fair circulation stream. I have some stainless straps, bulldog those to the bottom of the bag to sink it. When doing veggies, I throw a couple of big marbles in the pouch before I seal it.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Bull dog clips with lead fishing weights looped through helps too"Feed me, or feed me to something; I just want to be part of the food chain" Al Bundy

Are bulldog clips the same as alligator clips? I'm sure they are easy to find, like HD or Lowe's. TIALBGE 4/2012, MBGE 6/2012 & Mini 11/2013Rome, GA

With the sous vide supreme rack, you can use different configurations depending on how many bags, their size, etc. Pouches could float if not using the right configuration.____________________Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. •Niccolo Machiavelli

+1 on the V-rack or I also run a skewer through the non-sealed part of the vacuum bag so that it hangs down into the water.

The container I us is a Carlisle n10612-pc 12X18X9

It is a generic brand with the same size/standard as cambro / camwear / rubermaid. I purchased mine from CA Paradis or Despres Laporte (I can't remember which one of the two). You should be able to get one from any restaurant supply store. They also make smaller and larger sizes but this one is perfect. I also have a lid for it with a slot that fits my immersion circulator.

Thanks man! 100K is pretty pricey even if Gary is supplementing his retirement with it.

Hmmm... I paid under 30$ for 1 container so 100k must be for the whole warehouse!Little Steven said:Thanks man! 100K is pretty pricey even if Gary is supplementing his retirement with it.
