First Rockwood lump experience

I have been using royal oak lump for about 14 months or so. It is all I have ever used. After reading many posts on this forum about Rockwood, Ozark Oak, etc. I finally decided to try something else. I bought a bag of Rockwood and used it on Sunday evening for a raised direct salmon cook. First, it did not spark nearly as much as RO. That was nice. Second - it did not emit any VOC smoke. Wow. That is a game changer for me. I previously let my RO burn for 45 min before putting any food on. Bottom line - Rockwood lump is a winner in my book. I only wish I had found it sooner. By the way, I purchased at the Ace Hardware on Johnson Ferry in Marietta, GA.
