Nice lighting. I recently added one of those propane tank top heaters since my propane bottles weren't going to do much else as the gasser is worthless once it gets cold.They/Them

@DMV how much heat to they throw? How big of an area can they warm up out in the open? Thought about something like that for the deck when I'm sitting out here enjoying the clear air and dark skyMSV Chill Spot

@hapster The single burner unit is rated for 9,000-15,000 BTU. Heats up a small area outdoors nicely. If you wanted to heat up a patio for a party, I think it would be small. For just a small area while egging and relaxing it works great. The 2 burner unit was almost twice as much. I figured if the single burner wasn't enough heat I would simply add another so I could heat from the opposite side as well. It hasn't gotten really cold yet, but right now a single seems to be enough.They/Them

I have a couple of the tall ones with the parabolic reflector. I would think I could make a 30'x30' area comfortable if the temp is mid 30shapster said:@DMV how much heat to they throw? Mid 30ºC requires air conditioning, maybe the sprinkler.Little Steven said:Mid 30's C is pretty comfortable without any heat.
The patio heaters I have experience with don't actually heat the air, they are radiant heaters.Gerhard -

Yes mine are radiant. I mis-phrased the statement. If you were in a 30x30 area they would warm you up. I haven't used them below mid 30'sgerhardk said:

We have a chiminea but I prefer a camp fire, if you are in an area where camp fires are a no, no then the chiminea are a good alternative.Gerhard
