Been a rather hectic week, including an unscheduled tour of stores overnight (after a normal day) starting in Millville , NJ up into Tom's River,NJ before winding home. Into bed about 4AM up at 7:30... yea me!
Anyway, seems like forever since I've egged anything, especially since I went thru some leftovers I had in the freezer this week... So I dragged my tired butt to Wegmans to get some goodies
Tonight
Chicken kabobs for the ladies
Nice ribeye for me
Baked potatoes (wife's request)
Cucumber and Onion Salad
Saturday
Planning on a few racks of ribs...
Of course there will be libations and well as some sticks going during this time along with some baseball or music...
As always... pics will follow.
Hope everyone gets to enjoy this Fall like weather and has a great weekend!

Habster what kind of sticks will you be burning over the weekend ? Me i'm a avid cigar smoker I love Makers Mark 650 size but they are almost imposable to find around me so that being said I usually smoke Arturo Fuente the cuban bellicoso it's a very nice smoke2 Large Eggs and a Mini 2 Pit Bulls and a Pork shoulder or butt nearby and 100% SICILIANLong Island N.Y.

Ribs are on my Saturday menu too Hap. My son-in-law just texted me from Costco saying they have some nice racks of spares and was wondering if he bought them, would I smoke them. I went ahead and authorized that transaction. I kind of like the idea of someone else buying the meat around here for a change! Ha!

I'm throwing a 14.5 lb brisket on Saturday night for the Sunday noon game. I'm going to have some peeps over so just for diversity, I think I'm going to de-bone some dirty yard bird leg quarters, smother them in a bright red rub a buddy picked up for me in Alabama, and serve 'em up as "boneless roast Falcon".

Hap, looks fantastic as always. A great meal to start off the weekend without a doubt. Any chance you could share the Cucumber salad recipe? A lady that works for me unfortunately lost her husband earlier this year quite suddenly and I've been the benefactor of a garden that was meant to feed a lot more then just one person. But she hasn't felt up to entertaining yet so 2 times a week I get cucumbers, squash and tomatoes. I only have so much room for pickles
)I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season. -
Cucumbers, onions, white wine vinager and evoo in a 1:3 ratio. Add some sea salt, cracked black pepper, garlic salt to taste, and then about a teaspoon of sugar. Mix well and chill... Sometimes we add some grape tomatoes as well.MSV Chill Spot

Hapster, was that from the meat counter or their vacuum-sealed packs in the cooler? Did you get 4? Mine requires that to get the $9/lb price, otherwise it's $11/lb, I believe.
