Favorite store-bought hamburger bun?

My favorite for burgers is a Thomas's English Muffin, toasted twice. If you want a good bun, a chewy Kaiser type from Philly, Licio's (actually in NJ), Carangi's or Amoroso's is amazing - fortunately I can get them locally. For pulled pork, and also for burgers, it's Arnold or Pepperidge Farms Sesame Seed Classic Hamburger rolls.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. My favorite bun is Pretzilla buns. I order them from Pritzilla in Wisconson. Best bun you'll ever taste.

I like to take most any fresh roll/bun/bread and grill it with butter and garlic...makes a great sandwich everytime. I do agree, the bread makes the sandwich.

If you have a Publix close by, go to their bakery and snag a bunch of the French-bread hamburger buns.

My local HEB bakes their own buns fresh daily...melts in your mouth. Unbelievable with pulled pork. Of course, superb when making hamburgers as long as you are not making huge patties.SpringramSpring, TexasLBGE and Mini

We use ciabatta rolls. Grilled.

Kings Hawaiian. Hands down the best. The sweetness of the bun compliments the savory of the beef and cheese perfectly.
-
A simple, soft, white bun. Those pretzel buns might have more calories that the hamburger.

I just buy plain old whole wheat buns. Usually the store brand. Although, I do enjoy Martin's potato rolls occasionally.Mark Annville, PA

We make ours now, it's a recipe my wife found on pinterest for 40 minute hamburger buns, even my 5 year old who doesn't like bread likes these, toasts up perfectfly in the toaster the next day.

supermarket makes those 3 foot long french bread sticks, makes great subs and burgers. trick i sometimes do with split top hot dog buns is brush lightly with butter then a light dusting of your favorite rub then toast them up, would be great for a messy burger.

Believe it or not, Sam's has the smaller yeast buns that are great for pulled pork sandwiches. The downside is that you have to buy a bag of 36. They do freeze well. I always use them for any catering gigs that I have.
