Ribs In Cryo, in fridge..past expiration date

Ok so this is more of a generic food safety thread. I bought some Spares on Saturday, today i was checking them out and realized that the sticker says "use or freeze by 7/1/13." I dont have any freezer space, would it be ok to leave in the fridge until 7/4? Im cooking them up for the 4th of July. I would rather keep them and assume i dont get sick vs. having to take them back and exchange them.

I would keep them. The date on the package is a guideline for sale, typically not the cook by deadline. I would also let my nose be the judge, but only after you remove it from the cryo pack and rinse it. Pork manufacturers have been working for a good while on trying to minimize the initial smell that is a factor of the packaging not the meat.

I bet they're OK, but you might want to make sure your life insurance and will, etc are all up to date.
