New BGE Composite Handle

Was at the Ace today getting some more rub for the 4th Throwdown prize and saw the new eggs with composite handles. The owner who does a pretty good egg volume told me that BGE has switched to the new handles because the wood handles were not holding up. I should have snapped a picture but didn't. They looked OK and will probably hold up better that the wood handles but I think the wood looks better.

They have new composite side shelves too. Not sure if I like them either.

Only egging for 2 months and I opted for the composite side shelves. I like them. Use a little soft scrub and they clean up well. I have the wood handle but the new one is a little funky looking.Milton, GA.
