Whether it's on warranty or not, you  might want to consider this:

I had one before I even picked up the egg.  I've never had air flow problems (says the guy with seven months of egg experience).  Nope - not gonna use eggsperience - not gonna do it.

Thats normal - but it is covered under your warranty.  Bring it, or call your dealer and let him order you one.  Mine is like yours only worse, been that way for near three years.  But i am used to the air flow and am not going to change, besides - some people have had trouble with the upgraded unit and can not hold lower temperatures?
  • I have the new one. Got it under warranty after 8 years. I have no issues with air flow or holding lower temps. I would say I'm more than a casual user though so I don't really have temp control issues anymore. The High Q grate mentioned above is very a very good option as well but I roll standard equip.

Yes that is covered under the warranty for five years. I just talked to the mothership this week and they said to go to my local dealer with pictures and my receipt to get a replacement.

I have a friend who's family business is also a BGE dealer. According to her, any (reasonable) problem you find with your egg... Just contact the people you bought it from and they'll replace it.
