Wood problem?

I think I know the answer but I am just making sure. I had a bucket of chopped pecan wood under my lean to. The exterminator came and sprayed the ceiling of the lean to for carpenter bees. It looks like he moved most of the stuff from under the lean to but it does not look like he moved the bucket of wood. My guess is that the chemical he used dripped onto the wood. Is it out of the question for using it to smoke with?

All seriousness; when in doubt, throw it out.
Smoke wood is cheap compared with the alternative.

Buy a couple of bags of fresh stuff and store in plastic containers.

That ain't honey dripping on your wood, it is probably some Scary Toxic Dioxin, STD, don't fool with it. Like Hap says, always keep your wood wrapped in plastic, or maybe latex.
