Offer to take SWMBO out to dinner
So tonight the kids were away and I offered to take SWMBO out to dinner, she says Publix has Rib Roasts on sale go get one and Egg it. By the time I got home it was 7:15 and I said this thing won't be done until about 10:00 how about I cut it into steaks. I took the 4 plus pound roast and cut it into three 2" plus steaks got some squash and bakers for $25.00 the photos tell the rest of the story. Oh yeah, the bone was already detached so I cooked it for dessert, last pic.

Looks awesome buddy!
I'm doing something similar tomorrow. Found a single bone rib roast with a thick-ass spinalis. What's up 3 inch ribeye?! -

Agreed. I am on a mission to find some oak chunks for the reverse sear after ski Patrol tomorrow.

oak rocks with reverse sear. it is something else with beef and if you are a wine guy some good cabernet as wellEggcelsior said:Agreed. I am on a mission to find some oak chunks for the reverse sear after ski Patrol tomorrow. -

My buddy was near the Jack Daniels distillery this week and brought me some white oak from a whiskey barrel for free. It beats the $9.00 a bag for chips._________________________________________________Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!Large BGE 2006, Mini Max 2014, 36" Blackstone, Anova Sous Vide
