I want to do chocolate chip cookies in a cast iron skillet I think kind of like a thick pie and I can't seem to find the temps and setup for it anywhere.  I looked in the cookbook section and didn't see what I wanted.  I LOVE CC cookies and want to know if this can be done with the standard tube pillsbury pre-made dough you can buy at most any grocery store????  I definitely want them to be chewy not crunchy!

Check out Griffin's Grub.  He does one that he raves about at 375 degrees, with platesetter legs down.

I would do them on a ceramic stone instead of a skillet.

  • Something I read about here a while back has made me curious ever since. Chocolate chip cookie ABTs. The cookie dough is put into the jalapeno and its wrapped in bacon. Stupid diet!

I did them once, I didn't care for the lump flavour. Let us know how they turn out. Maybe I did something wrong.

Ahh, a cookie cake. I though OP meant individual cookies. Was thinking could only do a few in skillet!! That looks so good!! Doing it tonight!

cdees_1993 - did you make the giant cookie yet? Interested to see how yours turned out. If not, here's my write up on my blog over it. Now you got me wanting to make another one.

@Griffin I haven't because of the bad wind we have been having here.  I plan to very soon!  I will definitely post pics!

Thanks for the link to the blog on it!
