So I can buy one new for $51.99. I do not currently have anything like it. Is it a good deal for that price? Or skip and buy something else?

One probe or two? It looks like it has fairly mixed reviews on Amazon. I would be tempted at that price if it were dual probe and I didn't already have a maverick et-732...and if it was somewhere I felt would be easy to return. A few folks on Amazon complained about range issues (loose connection after 20 ft).The et-732 will give you the same basic functionality at about the same price and the range is great. It is just not as "slick" and it is one more thing to carry around. Chances are your phone will be in your pocket already...Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

absolutely a NO. igrill is a pos

Ha ok. Thanks for response. I guess I'll skip. Thought was a good price but not if doesn't work.Boom

Reviews I have read indicate there has been a recent update to the app which appears to be more stable. Was this deal online?
-
It's not. I work for Verizon and its a temp deal offered to employees.Boom

It is 20 degrees outside. I have two butts going on the egg and the iGrill is working fine. I can watch the temp of the grid and meat on my iPad while indoors. I think it is a good deal. It is not the most heavy duty piece of gear, but it costs $50.

I say go for it. As far as people who say it's a POS, what are you comparing it to? I have 3 mavericks, that I find all but unreliable, lose connection with the base, etc. I've had my igrill for a year, it's never given me a problem, works as advertised. Sometimes the range isn't fantastic, but it's held up thru a rain storm, and the probes didn't melt when I had the egg runaway on me one night.

I have the supposed POS, dual probe, and have had absolutely no issues with it. I love my POS. Your mileage may vary.
XL BGE -
I have one I will sell to you for $45 shipped with two probes. In good working order....I have never had a problem and mine works well. I just purchased a CyberQ so no longer needed..email me if interested and can ship out same day

I went ahead and ordered. $52, free shipping, 14 days to return, dual probes. I figure worth a shot. I'll let ya know what happens. Thanks everyone.Boom

Heck I would even do $35 shipped

Hmmm....I might just go for it, I'd have to hijack Miss B's iPad (not that she uses it much). I'm almost all Mac except my android phone and tablet....and about 3 or 4 windows computers I never use.
You still got it?

If it hasn't been purchased I will take it.

I've used mine three times now. Don't have anything to compare it to but I'm satisfied with it.Boom

I have the iGrill but the Bluetooth connection fails in less than an hour no matter what distance away from the iPad. I have tried the newest software but the problem is in the iGrill itself. When it fails it will not restart until you remove the batteries. I love the concept but mine is not worth the price.
-
mine works great. Love it, has a lot of cool stuff to play around with and the dual probes are nice.
-
does the iGrill have a grid probe too, or just a meat probe?

you can buy a grid probe for it, but that would leave you with only one meat probe to use.

Maybe call them. Bc I have used with 2 diff iPhones and my iPad and haven't had that issue. I even left with my phone and when came back it auto reconnectedBuckegg said:I have the iGrill but the Bluetooth connection fails in less than an hour no matter what distance away from the iPad. That's a good deal on the iGrill. I got mine for Christmas and have used it a handful of times without any problems, The best part I like about it is the logging and the ability to email the data as a pdf graph, or a CSV file.
