If you're ever in Sparta TN....there's a micro brewery call Calfkiller. The Brown Recluse is awesome. A true micro...draft only. Great guys. If you're ever in Murfreesboro, holler and we'll go have a cigar and a brew and talk BGE....and no politics.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

Deal! If ever in Columbia Mo same offer with broadway brewery and flat branch brewery. When in doubt add more pepper.

Right now, I would have to say Innis and Gunn scotch oak barrel aged beer. I am having one right now.
-
You know what other beer I have been on laterly, Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA.
Chimay is good too, but I only do it on special occassions, but I use Sierra Nevada as my lawnmower beer.

Our power was out for about 6 days after Hurricane Isaac. Generator kept the beer cold. We "reloaded" once the stores opened up again.
My neighbor's the guy in the pics. Beer cache is in my manbearcave.

Party....hell yeah, not much else to do after the cleanup. Work was closed for everyone. Gotta get your drink on.....that reminds me, I've had an empty keg for a in the kegerator I need to replace. We floated a keg of Pilsner Urquel. I'm not a big beer drinker so it took about 5 months. Good stuff, at least on draft.

Been a big fan of the beers from 10 Barrel out of Bend, OR. Particularly the IPA. Will probably begin the switch to the darker beers now that the weather is getting colder.Large BGE & mini stepchild & a KJ Jr.The damp PNW

Picture of my beer bunker in the basement. This helps get me through the winter months.

Wow, great stash! Even a small ice age would not be a problem w. that.
I tried cellaring some finer brews. Didn't work well. Late in the evening, I would hear them whispering "drinnnk meee...." But, it was amazing how well a glass of Dogfishhead 120 went down before bed.
-
Yup, still in Cincy. Finneytown.

Bodski, Really? No way. Talk about a small world. I live on Pinehollow. Got a few buds of mine within a couple blocks of me that are Eggers as well. Very active Eggers, just not active as much on this site.
Qdenby, I know that feeling. I try to keep the good stuff in the basement. There have been a couple of occasions where they were in the fridge and were drank "way too late" into the night. Nothing but the empty bottle as a reminder, lol.

YEMTrey, you probably already know this, but Rivertown Brewing Co is less than 10 minutes away and they have great growler prices. Usually about a dozen taps.

Sadly, as close as we are to Rivertown Brewing, I've never been.

@YEMTrey, how did you get cases of Goose Island Bourbon County???? That is my favorite beer ever but super expensive and no longer made
-
@Z_Eggineer, it is crazy expensive, but it is released on an annual basis. It's a major PITA to find because it sells out so quick. It's my favorite beer and I will make trips to Chicago, Indy, etc to pick some up.
The 2012 batch was just released in the Chi-town area about a month ago.

Bodski,
Definitely want to head over there and try a couple of their beers.
Heading to the Afghan Whigs concert tonight at Bogart's so it's a Fries Cafe kind of night. Relive those college years a little bit!

Can't forget Avery Brewery. Maharaja is one of my favorite Imperial IPAs. A little over 10% ABV with enough IBU's to cause permanent sphincter contractions! When in doubt add more pepper.
-
When I head back down to Charleston(Isle of Palms), I always make a point to stock up on Westbrook Brewing Co fare. Southern Tier Brewery and Long Trail are some of my favorites as well. All of the IPA offers from them are fantastic. Pumpking from Southern Tier is hands down the best pumpkin ale I have ever had, with Schafly and Dogfish Head a close second and third. Schafly/DFH = pumpkin pie, Southern Tier = pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top. NOM NOM.Schafly Special Reserve Barleywine is outstanding. DFH 60 and 90 min IPA's are great. I have 1 120 waiting for that special moment.
-
+1 on Schafly Special Reserve BarleywineWhen in doubt add more pepper.
-
I found this one recently...quite possibly becoming my favorite wheat beer, but I think its going to take another 6 pack or so to make that decision.
