    This is definitely interesting. lol

I'm up for the egg challenge. hahahahahahahahaha

baysidebob, isn't it SS, not carbon steel?

EggerinLA, you do not have to own each product if one understands the materials of construction.

Griffin, you asked a question, and I submitted an honest reply.

    This ones for you baysidebob.

No oil as you can see and first attempt.

This is good, clean, fun after a twelve hour shift and several SA Octoberfests.

Not going to waste lump for this, done on gas cooktop.

Eggs are cheap, lets see it on the Kettle Q?

Focker, I am impressed.  How long have you had that piece? I did use oil.  Bacon fat specifically:

And kept using the bacon fat

for bacon fat fried potato patties

    image

And thick sliced bread toasted in bacon fat

    image

And eggs sunny side up on bacon fat with bacon fat drizzled over them while cooking

Not the prettiest breakfast.  I've done prettier ones on teflon but the taste was great.  I had the top closed most of the time and would sprinkle in some cherry chips at 6 O'clock to give it all a hint of smoke.

  • OK, the gadget hog in me really liked the look of the k-q, but after reading the posts I am going to stick to Plan A which is to use these for griddle type cooking.
