I have to say that even though there has been some negativety and trolling on here lately that 99% of the people on this forum seem to be genuinely good people.
Point in case. I had purchased two tickets to the nc eggfest in Winston last month but could not attend due to my buddy's surprise birthday party. Not wanting the tickets to go to watste I offered them to hi putty so they would be used. Putty did me a favor and took the tickets off my hands. This was fairly important since the guys putting on the eggfest needed a head count. Although putty wanted to reimburse me I insisted that was not necessary.
I get home today and I have a fed-ex box on my front doorstep. He had sent me the only two dizzy pig rubs I don't have, fajita and Bombay. All this from 2 guys who have never met and only know each other through this forum.
There was also another great story on the other forum titled paying it forward about a guy who was out of town and ran into a college student who just purchased an egg. Long story short (I know to late) he helped the guy out and bought some steaks to cook.
Thank you putty, that was to cool and very much appreciated! I knew you had to be good peeps. I named my jack Russell 14 years ago putty after the Seinfeld character. Unfortunately he passed away this past June. That dog lasted through an ex-wife and at least 3 dozen girlfriends,4 or 5 jobs and god knows what else. Glad to know that there are several good people on this forum!! Happy egging everyone.

Great story Mike. I agree that the vast majority here are good people willing to help and share experience. @Lizzie - welcome back. As Cen-Tex recommended, we need to not feed the trolls and they will go away. resist the temptation of being dragged down to their level. Raising an almost 3 year old grand daughter, I know for a fact that a 5 year old Dora can beat the troll every time. I've seen it hundreds, and hundreds of times.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA

Yep, as cold as you think people are these days things like this make you think there is hope after all.
My mother just recently got leukemia and needed a bone marrow transplant. Her sister was a match but during the screening, they found that she had lung cancer (crazy). Anyways, they found a donor and he missed work and drove over 2 hours just to donate for a complete stranger. I had no idea that people did this.
-
Yup, been on the donor list since I turned 18. Lost my brother in 1986, I was 10 yrs old to Leukemia. He was part of the experimental testing for transplants they have come so far!! God Bless your mom and Aunt.

@putty. Cheers and

Thank you

Thanks. She is doing well. She has been though a lot over the past 8 years (3rd cancer). I too am thinking about going on the list since I have see what these poor people go through. 10x worse than what anyone (atleast me) could imagine. All the pink fund raising out there, you think there would be more for it since its way worse. Mom had an aggressive case of breast cancer a few years back and she is like "that was a walk in the park compared to this".LizzieSamps said:Yup, been on the donor list since I turned 18.
