Does anyone use the 2 Tier Adjustable Swing Rack System from Ceramic Grill Works?  If so, how do you like it?

I have it and find it well-made and very functional.  I use it as my main grid and the swing rack everytime I need to go vertical and expand the cook area. However, several weeks ago there was a thread running where it seems that the set-up I have (allows full range of heights with LBGE platesetter installed) is no longer offered and the current set-up has a few height travel limitations but I don't think they restrict use unless you are trying to get the upper grid down low with the ps in place.  There are others who frequent here and use the rig so hopefully they will be along.  You should give the company a call as well.

I have the swing rack and works great. Real good quality. Cook my meats below and veggies and tater or whatever up above.

So I pulled the trigger and got the swing rack.  A fine addition to my repertoire of eggcessories!  Maiden voyage was a mess of chicken
wings.  I do wings direct and they need
tending.  Easy to move up, down or around
as needed.  I particularly like that they
are well cut cast iron.  My first love is
my adjustable rig but I wouldn’t want to live without this swing-rack,  Consider putting it on your list.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

    Bayside,

Thanks for the kind words, and having it compared to the adjustable rig is indeed a complement. I want to also thank everyone that has purchased the swing rack.

What extra part are you referring to???

I have been using the CGW 2-Tier grate for a few weeks now and love it.  I wanted a nice quality grate deserving of the XL and this is it.  I have cooked just abut everything on it now and the extra space has been great. Franco has done his homework on this accessory for sure. Very pleased with the company and product. :) (phone pics)

Duh, I looked at the photos and figured it out.  As an added note the one I got is well made. Solid. Great welds and excellent fit and finish.

Low carbon steel, it'll season like cast iron, the more you use it the better it performs.

Yep, the XL 2-tier is a 24" main grate and an 18" upper grate.

I had some and thought I uploaded them but didn't.  There is a ton of room and it's useful as all can be.  Here is a pic of a pork shoulder just under 9 lbs sitting on a V-Rack with room under the top grate.

I would not hesitate.  A buddy of mine is picking one up for his XL as well.  Best accessory I have purchased for the Egg yet. :)

Good question.  I know a few things.  One, Franco would take care of you if anything was to go wrong with it. Two, the 2-Tier rack is built like a tank so I don't see what could go wrong with it.  It's not a flimsy made product.  The grate is solid as all can be.  I see it lasting as long as the egg.  Hope this helps.

Just placed my order. Looking forward to this new addition. Assume it can be used in conjunction with the platesetter on the large BGE.

I use mine with the XL platesetter. You can see it in the last pic I posted with the pork shoulder.
