Good afternoon all,
What size lodge cast iron skillet (small side handles) do you recommend for LBGE?
Thanks

You could go with just about any size if you use a hacksaw and cut the handle off.
What do you mean by "small side handles"? The bigger skillets have a smaller, helper handle adjacent from the standard handle for carrying.
Some Le Creuset casserole dishes have two smaller handles?

I took a 12" frying pan like this and cut the handle leaving about 3".
A hacksaw makes quick work of it, took me less then 5 minutes.

my 12" cast iron lodge with handle fits in the large egg just fine. I did cornbread the other day and turned out great. Sauted the corn/jalapenos in bacon fat (in egg) then poured batter right over top. Do you have a small or medium egg, or are you just looking to add more space by cutting off the handle on your large?Columbus, OH

Honestly I never even tried to fit it with the handle still on. But I would have cut it for the sole purpose of keeping the footprint down even if it did fit.

tried to find one with a removable handle. they are out there. in fact, the first google hit is for a post from the old forum.
