Holy Steven you live in Canada also.  That must have been a second mortgage on you house.  I wish we had US pricing!
  • Absolutely beautiful!  What kind of wood did you use for the set up?
  • Now that is why i have been waiting to do my patio over for the egg center...I have been telling my wife, I only have Three...and have been having a hard time selling that...now i can show here what a "REAL" Texas patio should look like :)

My congratulations on your vision!  I can't wait to see some of your work now....from a pitiful cook near Dallas,my humble abode is always open to you should you ever come to this area...I need to study at your feet...

I used Larch from Siberia. The wood over there is usually older and harder then what grows in orchards over here.

Add a two or three faucet kegerator in the corner and it would be my ideal of perfect.  Very well done. Beautiful.

  • Don, I didn't read through the whole thread, so someone may have already said this but your setup is on the front page of biggreenegg.com

    Nice work!

A muslim, a socialist and an illegal immigrant walk into a bar

Blogging: Never before have so many with so little to say said so much to so few.

  • Wow!! Awesome job!!
I hope you have a walk-in cooler for all the food you could put though that lineup in a night.

You have set the bar high and now could probably get a Mothership endorsement and add a Eggzilla!!

Just in case you need a lil more room..

Very impressive, and while I'm interested in what and how you cooked in the pictures, your use of the old Weber kettle is appreciated (pic #2).

Great set-up!  Just curious-what type of lump do you use there and is it reasonable?

We get pretty good local Lump over here, no problem and not too expensive.

Ich eibe Friesland!!!!  Mein Onkel wohnt in Wilhelmhaven und mein Cousin wohnt in Greetsiel.  I also had the fortunate day of spending in the Jever Brauerai.  I am very sorry that I missed you on this visit. You could not have been firing up all those eggs, or I would've smelt them for sure.  We will have to stay in touch and meet on my next visit.  it's been 14 years since my last trip to Northern Germany and we're determined to make it back in a year or two.  Given this new intelligence, we may have to make it even sooner!!!  What town do you live in.  We were in Hochsiel, Waddewarden, and went thru many other town mid size, small and smaller all thru Neidersachsen.  Lovely part of the world!

Don Marco, we bow down to you. You are the envy of the neighborhood. You have set the goal high. I guess when you really get everything cranked up it takes some time,  therefore the built in urinal(,pic #8) You thought of everything! I am jealous.
Seriously, great vision and great implementation.

I was wondering what that was.

Wow, that's great, you don't even have to leave the kitchen!!
