I have a 5 lb boneless pork loin. Do I use direct or indirech heat with drip pan and v rack?
What temp and how long would you expect?

direct would toast it. it's a roast. i'd go indirect. anywhere from 250 to 350/400 if you wanted . lowre heat means more even doneness.
no idea the times. expect and hour to an hour-and-a-half at medium temps.

Yep. That's the way to do it fo' sho'. i like it around 225-250 to let it plateau/stall for as long as possible but I know guys who do them hot and fast and swear by it. either way, pick a temp and find a recipe and go for it. It will be awesome.
