Thermopen's cheaper brother

Has anyone used the RT600c made by ThermoWorks (same manufacturer as the highly talked about thermopen)? $70 more dollars than this $20 alternative is a lot for an extra 2-3 seconds off the read time. I'd like to save that money and get the Maverick 732 as well, but only if I feel it's worth it.
