Newbee, have egg on covered porch....as setting up table with egg on it and thought hit me that the smoke from the egg may stain the ceiling...can someone tell me if I am right?

Mine is on a screened porch in a nest until tables built. I have cooked on mine probably 12 times on my first 3 weeks and I have had no issue. The few times it got smokey, I turned ceiling fan on and smoke was pushed out of screen. I think it will be fine. I was worried about that too. If you have to repaint, at least you can eat good food while you do it

Newbie here and no experience with the BGE smoke in particular staining ceiling but I do know that it takes BBQ restaurants YEARS before they get smoke stained walls/ceilings and they're getting smoke exposure all day every day in most instances so you'd probably be alright. Even then it's not a dark black stain. Not sure if this is helpful or not but I wouldn't worry about it too much.Guns Up! Roll Tide!
