Newbee, have egg on covered porch....as setting up table with egg on it and thought hit me that the smoke from the egg may stain the ceiling...can someone tell me if I am right?

Mine is on a screened porch in a nest until tables built. I have cooked on mine probably 12 times on my first 3 weeks and I have had no issue. The few times it got smokey, I turned ceiling fan on and smoke was pushed out of screen. I think it will be fine. I was worried about that too. If you have to repaint, at least you can eat good food while you do it :))

Newbie here and no experience with the BGE smoke in particular staining ceiling but I do know that it takes BBQ restaurants YEARS before they get smoke stained walls/ceilings and they're getting smoke exposure all day every day in most instances so you'd probably be alright.  Even then it's not a dark black stain.  Not sure if this is helpful or not but I wouldn't worry about it too much.
