Good, maybe they can get some pictures of food on an egg that actually gets used.Geaux Tigers!!!

@TweevI got that BGE cookbook for Christmas two years ago. I completely agree, they could put a little more effort into it.I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike Bar.

newbies would not buy an egg that looked charred inside unless they knew how it works.

Hmmmm, I might be persuaded to drive over.
-
Is there a $40/ person, $60/ couple charge for this event as well?
-
No charge so stop on by the Mothership on Sat Feb 4...and with the logic on the cookbook then all of the car commercials should be showing dirty/rusty cars...I think not...
Gene I hope you can come on over...

An egg on display is one thing. An egg with a bunch of food on it is another. Not very believable that the food was even cooked on an egg. At least for non egg owners. We all know it can be done.Geaux Tigers!!!

I hope the wife and I can swing on over from the South Side!

Well, I'm a Newbie and it was my first thought when I opened the book, before I ever used the egg.

In all reality we all know what the egg can do, and it's owners are probably the best advertisement you can get, and it's free. Just giving them a hard time. I would love to attend if I lived closer.Geaux Tigers!!!

I live about 15 minutes away. I'll think try to make it down. Thanks for the info guys.

Everybody knows the cookbook was not BGE's finest moment for various reasons. But unless you bought a demo bge at a fest most of us cooked a really great meal out of a clean egg the first time we used them. And in fact almost all of the great food at an eggfest comes off of brand new and totally clean eggs. But that's old news.
The thing to keep in mind is that the only thing "corporate or mothership" about this event is it's location and what they provide to the cooks. DrZaius, Vidalia1 and Crimsongator(if he shows up) are some of the most respected eggers around. I'm sure the others involved are as well. They've all cooked at countless eggfest's and have been on the forums for years. Some people will show up just because they like hanging with these guys. So I'd suggest if you want some serious time cooking with experienced eggers and not only having your questions answered but also shown how to do it I'd show up. The big difference between an event like this and posting a question on a forum is that you will be guaranteed to get good advice.

And I believe then menu will be geared towards Super Bowl party food. But any question will be welcomed.
