How to make a fattie
I made some fatties this past weekend for the Plano Outlaw Eggfest and some people have been asking for more info, so I thought I'd put together a page on how to make them for those who don't know. WE served these sliced up on some King's Hawaiian Rolls and I think they go nicely together. All the step by steps are on my blog. Let me know what you think.

Fantastic stuff. Thanks Griffin!

That's amazing.

How much sausage is used in one fattie?
-
Just one small chub of sausage. I think they weigh a pound.

Thanks Griffin. I had to ask because I have never seen sausage sold in those types of packages in Canada.

Pretty uncommon up here and the Maple Leaf is all fat. The Loblaws group of stores have packaged sausage meat sometimesSteve

No, It's an american thing but a lot of the fast food chains are offering biscuits and sausage on their breakfast menus. There is one company that makes it but it is disgusting and most people buy it only for turkey stuffing. Shouldn't be long til JD gets a foothold. No biscuits and gravy here either.

I have brought back Jimmy Dean's to Canada to make fatties and quite frankly not that fond of the product.
My suggestion to fellow Canadians and for that matter my American friends is to go to your own local butcher and ask for bulk sausage meat and use that instead.
My butcher makes a 'too die for' garlic sausage that has won me many compliments.

You're right it's funny ... but why post it in this thread?
This just shouts "Off topic" to me....

Fatties AKA heart attack on a plate.
Which, of course, means that I gotta try making one.
