-
to much information
-
But, do you like the fruit without the sauce?
-
Absolutely! It's a total 'texture' thing! Just like jello with fruit in it... . Give me the fruit, give me the jello...just don't mix em together!
-
They are demonic :P

Olives, even though I live in Italy and they are all over and cheap. Olives is a surprisingly common answer above.

How could I have forgotten...my absolute #1 abhorred food/ingredient...white truffle oil!!! I can't even get it to my mouth without gagging. Nasty stuff! :pinch: Fresh truffles are a different story, but that artifically flavored oil stuff...GROSS!
-
Asparagus!!! Yuck!
-
Spears of Death!!!
-
brussel sprouts!!! i HATE those little green turds!!!. ..when my wife's grandmother lived with us a bunch of years back i used to have to make them for her all the time...not sure what smelled worse, the brussel sprouts cooking....or Nana after she ate them!!!! YUCK!!!
-
I have tasted Durian and will never again. Ditto for Tripe.
I will eat and generally enjoy everything else mentioned above, except chitterlings and fake white truffle oil.

Red meat,,, everyone knows how much I can't stand steak

I eat just about everything. Tried sushi several times but it's ho-hum, lutefisk is hard to choke down but I kinda like the challenge of eating it. Baby beef liver, if it's super fresh, yummmy treat. Lets see....tripe is not on my yummmy list nor is limburger cheese. If you eat this cheese you're a real tuff guy.

I love raw onions but I get a BAD migrane from them. Cooked is fine.
I will see your liver, goat meat and cheese, raisins- (when cooked),Green olives, ROSEMARY (floor cleaner flavoring), whiskey (I DID like it at one time- we all know that kind of story )and jello or pudding with stuff in it and will raise you rice pudding, cooked carrots, tapiyuka pudding, beef braised in tomatoes and capers -
Interesting thread. Just read through all of your dislikes and am, quite frankly, amazed! Of all the things you all have mentioned (that I have tried), there is not one that I dislike. Green peppers? Onion? Liver? Asparagus? Spinach? Olives? Seriously?! Man, I love 'em ALL. Recently learned to like even avocado and brussels sprouts. You haters are nuts!
There are some things mentioned that I have not tried, but think I would like... alligator, snake and shark. Others that I am almost positive I would NOT like... lutefisk, limburger, chittlin's and scrapple. Never even heard of durian, but you've made it sound truly nasty!!
The only things I can think of that I have had and do not care for are cauliflower and eggplant. And I would place a hefty wager that that is only because I have never had them prepared properly.
With apologies to zip... Food. It tastes good, and it makes me feel good.I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I'm amazed at all the things (Carolina Q named them pretty well) that you guys can't stand! I guess I'm not crazy about liver, but I'll eat it smothered in grilled onions.
I HATE seafood...except for shrimp, and that was a learned appreciation. But see, I gave it a chance! Open mind here.Judy in San Diego -
My daughter swears we are going to try that some day. Andrew Zimmerman tried twice on his tv show and couldn't choke it down...
-
I agree with the liver.
-
Aligator, I had a delicious meatball earlier this year made by Jupiter Jim
-
As for the scrapple, my husbands trip to Melbourne was made eating that. :cheer:
Lower Case Bill did a great job It REALLY was good -
I hate caviar.
I agree with Biggreenmatt that durian is beyond digusting :S and LC hit it on the head with the truffle oil  . -
I'm with ya on the caviar, eenie meenie.......don't even know what durian is.
-
Eggs (boiled, fried, scrambled, poached). Can't stand the smell. I can eat foods that are prepared eggs as long as I can't smell thm (casseroles, cakes, bread). Trust me, I can smell eggs from quite a distance - I really don't like them.
-
Got three all equal: Cilantro taste like soap , Brussels sprouts and beets...Just can't wrap my tongue around any of themLarge, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx
-
I got an eggplant recipe that would make even YOU do a backflip! Like you say most things not liked have never been eaten prepared properly. The only one I don't like is an herd/weed,not a food.
