After my recent post concerning cuts of prime rib which included a photo from the Rouxbe website, a few here were interestedin what I thought of the program. I initially signed up for a one year enrollment and was later offered a
life-time membership at a price that I thought was reasonable. Unforunately, I don't believe this option is still available.
Concerning the program, with having had no schooling in the realm of culinary arts, I find it most informative & entertaining.
Besides leading you through many recipes, the videos cover an array of techniques; such as the many different ways to cook eggs,
braising & searing, all the way to a great tutorial on knife sharpening.
This is by no means a sales-pitch. After getting permission to post the picture from their website, I told Rouxbe that I would acknowledge the source of the photo and tell of my experience with the program. I really like it, as I can pause, stop, or go back and view what I want, whenever I want .

I'm a member at Rouxbe too. I have learned a lot about things I already THOUGHT I knew about. I think the video lessons are so helpful in teaching how to do techniques versus just reading about them.Knoxville, TN
