A Red Big Green Egg

I was watching one of those backyard makeover shows and it looked like the guy had a Red colored Big Green Egg. Do they even make those? Everything about it looked like an Egg other than the color. For some reason they were trying to put the Egg into the bottom half of a whiskey barrel and were going to access the bottom vent through the stopper hole in the barrel. A weird setup but to each his own.

I guess it would be called The Big Red Egg if you could get one. Being a UGA fan I prolly would buy one!

Big Green Eggs come in any color you want, as long as that color is GREEN!! :woohoo: Lile TNW says, not a egg but a competitor.
-
JimF: Bubba Tim and I watched that same episode, and I can assure you, there were some WTF moments when they were putting that into the barrel!! Looked like a total fire hazzard to me! As the others have stated, that was a BGE 'knock-off' made by a competitor.

I'll make you a small wager that you might find an authentic Blue, BGE somewhere in FL

I was thinking the same thing that it was a fire hazard but also it just did not look good stuck down in that barrel. It definitely looked like an exact copy of the Egg from seeing it on TV.

If it was dimpled like the BGE I would think it's a Kamado Joe as Whiz said. They're sold here in Victoria too, for considerably more than I paid for a LBGE in Warshington State. Not even close to the same quality as an Egg as far as I bothered to look.

The guy that introduced me to BGE has a blue medium.

Sweet! I knew they were made for a limited time and saw one of the domes at the mothership a few years back. It would be neat to find one some day. Where does the egg reside?
-
I thought the funniest part of that episode was them cutting a very small hole in the barrel so they could open and close the lower vent.
