-
Pat, that is proof you can take the boy out of Philly but you can't take the cheesesteak gene outa the boy. Excellent work, including the ketchuphappy in the hut
West Chester Pennsylvania -
Yea Tom but I grew up in South Philly. Cheese steaks and soft pretzels were my favorite, look for the pretzels this weekend
-
Everyone needs a day away like that Elizabeth.
-
Yes Michele thats ketchup :woohoo: that ain't no Boston cheese steak   and that little Asian lady was all over the jetty taking fish that nobody wanted. She was thrilled with the bluefish as from what I could tell was the only one worth cleaning. I don't know what she was gonna do with the blue runner and jack in that pic :S
-
Now JL don't you make me drive out there, I ain't afraid of that little puppy
 I'm just trying to learn ya some culinary classics so ya ain't embarrassed when ya visit bill
As for the babes I posted them on the other forum,, you know the one

-
Thanks bill the rolls do make a difference

  12 pound on 2 rods and 20 pound on the 3rd. There were a couple with shark rigs there but not much action. I didn't care about the fish just felt good to escape even if it was just for a day.
-
deep fried blue runner is actually pretty good, had one deep fried, head, scales, tail and all.fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
-
She was really excited running around the jetty, it made her day,,, and mine also
-
Finally someone who knows what a cheese steak is not that mess in Ocala
  Guess a 5 qt. DO is not ideal for feeding the masses but it was fun. This weekend I'm gonna tackle the soft pretzels and yes there will be mustard  -
  that one was dry aged overnight
as you can tell most of what I cook is eaten with disposable plates and utensils. Guess there's a little redneck in this south philly boy  -
for the pretzels its getting impossible to find the red devil lye. good for pretzels and stump removal  they sell a food quality lye now, but that just seems so wrong :laugh:fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

(Just got home. Two Becks dark and a shot of tequla type of day) Tell you what Pat. You just bring your sorry drum snagging self up hear. I got beer, good tequla, a pond with real Bass in it and a Germagator that would love to play "tug" with you AFTER I show you how to make a PROPER Philly cheese stake!!

Pat,
My MIL sends nice Phili rolls out once and a while and I bet they don't sit here more than a few hours before being converted to cheesesteaks.
For sure one of the things I really miss from living there.
Good to see you getting out
