Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

Oh that is just a sad sight,so sorry for your losss. :( Were you moving it in a nest or just carrying it? I don't think JB Weld is going to help.

Dang Don, that hurts! :pinch: That may void the warranty. I know it's not easy to get that replaced given your location. Break out the JB Weld.

I know "humpty dumpty" in the post title can never be good :( what a major bummer - my dog knocked over my mini and I was able to salvage it; just doesn't look nice. I hope you can get a new one soon. :)

This seems like a photo one would show on April 1st. Rereading the post I see there is no direct reference to this being the medium egg that was broken. Also to my eyes the proportions just do not seem correct. Could it be that the broken egg is only about 6 inches tall?

Like has been said humpty dumpty in the heading is just not a good sign.. and your location makes it worse :( hope they help with the replacement :( or at least are cut off from egg food for awhile. I can not remember, do you only have one egg? Hope you are not cut off too :(

I cringe, every time I see one of these photos. Was only the dome broken, or are there other casualties, outside of view of the picture?

  • Well, that just stinks. Was it only the top dome, or the whole thing?

I hope you can get a replacement soon.
Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 6 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

Don, Sorry to hear the bad news. I'm sure your guest feels really bad. Especially if they learn of the replacement cost. I know I would be very embarrassed and want to compensate fast. It looks like just the dome unless there is another pile some where else. Might as well get a large now. Keep your cool. This too shall pass. ;)

Bummer! Kinda ruins the party, huh?

We had a party several years ago where someone we didn't know decided to move the egg and tipped it over. When I told him to leave it alone and I would get it back upright, he kept insisting on trying to do it. I had to end up yelling at him. I think he thought I was the b word but really, hadn't he done enough? Luckily it wasn't broken.

Glad I have a full table. It would take a lot for someone to knock mine over.
