......for the 4th time in the 3 years I have had it. Each time was on concrete. It is still working fine and on the original battery.

Same here...only I've just dropped mine 3 times! Still working great!!
-
I'm on my 4th one. :( I got the NEW version,I like the old ones better.
-
Well then....
You had better hope it is indestructible, or stop dropping the darn thing.
Sooner or later  :( . -
Got my Mom a thermapen for Christmas...she dropped it, too...right into the sink full of dishes and soapy water. :pinch: Still need to contact Thermoworks... :pinch: Doubt there is much they can do for me. Glad yours is still chugging along!

They made a nice Silicone Boot outer cover for the Thermapen. I don't know if you would like it. Your Thermapen is like a cat with 9 lives. I guess it's a testament to their ruggedness. :ermm:

On your 4th one, Hmmmmm. :(
What don't you like about the new one???
Thanks,

You should get better hands
-
I have an aquaintence who would disagree.
-
And I have been using it to measure oil temp when frying. I'm sure if it hit 375deg oil it will be a goner.
-
Yea? What's his name?
-
Didnt see that one coming........
-
Then you should get better eyes to go with those better hands
-
-
 I know what he likes.
-
Didn't drop it, but left it out in the rain. It did not survive.

I remember when this forum used to be a much more friendly place
-
not sure what Hoss doesn't like but my old one has a better feel to me due to the shape of the case with "sharper" edges - whereas the new one is soft and rounded. And then there's the obvious difference for those of us who have some arthritis - a wrist strap prevents dropping!

LOL
Don't think he is the only one. :woohoo:
Cheers,

I can see where the wrist strap is handy for many of us. Funny how the small changes effect the feel of things so much and not always for the better.
Have a good one Ron,

The new one is harder to open and it has no wriststrap.Don't get me wrong, the times mine have had problems it was my fault. When I sent them back I got fast and courteous customer service.
