One works. The other doesn't.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I'm still using the zip lock bags that you can manually pump out the air. They have done ok, but every once in a while one of the bags will open enough in the freezer to get some frost bite on them. I think that little circle that you stick the pump on opens a bit. That has only happened a few times and I have liked them all right. I would prefer a better method like the food savers, but just haven't made the switch.

Foodsaver pays for itself pretty quickly, with minimal/if any freezer burn to items/meats, even after many months in the freezer.
You can also hold meats in the fridge far longer, without having to freeze, by using the foodsaver. -

I use both. My foodsaver has the little hose to pump out containers. I use the adapter for the container to pump out the manual pump ziplocks. One down side is, I've gotten some food on the zipper and it doesn't hold the seal.

i use the foodsaver for pulled pork mostly. stocks and sauce go in the ziplock. usually have a ziplock for wing tips to make stock, another that has onion frozen from previous cooks that would go into soups and sauce. have a frozen ziplock with hamburger balls, mostly for the dog but i eat them as well, they dont last long so i dont see the point to foodsaver them, the food saver is more expensivefukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
