Hi,
got the BGE (XL) in November, love it!
2 issues/questions...I have the large table for my XL and when I put the cover on it collects moisture on my table underneath the cover. What's up with that? Any thoughts?
Also, I'd like to bake and grill at the same time, is there a 1/2 placesetter I could use that would allow me to do this?
Thanks in advance!

Check out kiln supplies. There are round half shelves that might work for you.

The 1/2 round pizza stone is the closest I could find to that...

fire brick splits come in handy for a lot of setups like that. just lay them on the grill wherever you want and put a spacer between the cooking pan or a raised grill above themfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

BGE makes a 1/2moon piece for the large that will probably work for your needs or you could put a pizza stone on a raised grid above your cooking grid

Tom at the ceramic grill store has a half stone. Highest quality and excellent service.

Okay, I get it now.
I get the half moon shape, place it on my grid and then I have what I need.
Thanks!
I'll begin getting the hang of it soon. still real new to me.
Any ideas on the wetness under the cover? -
Welcome, you'll love the egg and the community.
You aren't a USNA grad are you? -
I have the same table and the vented cover. The cover definitely is not waterproof, just water resistant.
Buy tent seam sealer at a sporting goods store and that will help significantly.
Mine also seemed to stay drier as it got older (after several months).Knoxville, TN

I also have the large table and was concerned when water collected on the table by the vent. I found a post either here or somewhere(?) where a stack of 3 short 2 x 4's were placed on the table under the vent so the vent would be hanging vertically instead of laying flat. I did that on mine and it really helped.

No, not a USNA grad. Sorry!
-
Thanks, I'll try that!

good idea, I'll try the tent seamer.
Thanks!
