A couple of weeks ago I tried my first home made pretzels in the oven and they turned out great. Today I did them again, but this time on the egg. They turned out even better and had just a hint of smoke to them. . The only issue I had was that after putting the first batch on I walked in and noticed that 4 of the dough rolls were gone and the dog was licking his chops I just got finished putting a rack of Car Wash Mike ribs on. If they do well I will post the pics.

If given a choice I am sure the dog will go for the ribs! Even if they don't look as good as those pretzels! They are good looking.

The dog is (burping) in "time out" :ermm:. He is not supposed to be in the kitchen, but had his chance when he saw me go out the door. The recipe is very simple from Alton Brown. CWM ribs are holding at 210 right now. 2 more hours before they get bumped to 250 plenty of cherry smoke rolling. It is hard seeing the dome thermometer due to condensation. Is there a way to fix this or do I just need a new one? My egg is only 5 months old.

LOL - do you have your recipe you could share? Look great

Thanks for that link!!!
You got me motivated! My dough is rising as I type! I am making some ribs right now - so I figured since the egg is fired up anyway, why not make some fresh pretzels after the ribs come off!
Good justification for a second egg!! -
What dome temp for the pretzels? 450?
