Piri Piri Wings & January Giveaway

I tried Steve Raichlen's Piri Piri Wings last week and was blown away by the flavor and heat.

I think these are as good or better as my favorite sriracha wings. The wet marinade/rub is packed with all of this good stuff....

I didn't haave piri piri sauce but the hot sauce I used is a blend of habanero, jalapeno, and cayenne.
And then I roasted them indirect on the Egg for an hour at 375f using my 30-20-10 method. (Full recipe post here)

These things were powerfully good and I'll be making these for the Superbowl party.
I am also having my January giveaway on my blog. This month I'm giving away a jar of Hobo Howey's Pineapple Jalapeno Chutney and a bottle of Fire Ant Juice. Enter here.

Looks amazing. I've been meaning to pick up that book. One questions....what a Vidalia salad onion? Is there something that can be substituted since I don't think I have ever seen one.

It's just a green onion using the vidalia. Imagine a slightly bigger green onion with a baby white vidalia onion at the end. In the picture it's on the left.
You could substitute whole green onion or even just white onion.Knoxville, TN

Chris, looks as if you need to enter the wing throw down at the Florida Sunshine fest! The wings look great.
