I miss mine. Wish I'd thought about J-B Weld before I turned it in for replacement.
-
my son has about a 1000 of those nerf darts scattered through out the house.
-
I wish I could say I had a kid but the darts are mine. We have wars at work. I have one I replaced the springs and drilled out the air restrictors that will shoot 100'. I also have another batter powered one that I ordered 3.7v double a batteries for and aa to d battery converters for increased the voltage from 9v to about 21v and will shoot several darts per second.
-
My son and I mod his also. The air restrictors come out as soon as they are opened. We have put two nine volt batteries in one. It shoots pretty fast but the batteries only last a few hours.

I know it is hard to believe for some but my original 3 BGE's (Small, Large and Mini) in order of purchase, from 1996, still have original, fire box, grate like you show and gasket. All in tact. Tender loving care I guess.BGE'er since 1996 Large BGE 1996, Small BGE 1996, Mini BGE 1997

Are you dry smokin me? You have 3 eggs with 13 year old gaskets?

-
Be sure and tell em Hoss sent it!
-
I heard they made em outta clay back in the fifties.Cool to actually see one.

Hi
Not Dry smokin anything? I buy my cheese. You are more than willing to come check'em out.............just bring a nice RibEye or better yet 2. Can send as many pic's as you like of them? Seams on the Mini, etc. Shame you think the early BGE's were not worthy of longevity. I personally believe the older BGE's are better. Kinda like collectors of Old Weber's, etc. No worry's, it is only a matter of pinion.BGE'er since 1996 Large BGE 1996, Small BGE 1996, Mini BGE 1997 -
Yup, your eggs are better. :woohoo:

It is OK it is Friday night & party on!BGE'er since 1996 Large BGE 1996, Small BGE 1996, Mini BGE 1997 -
That's right you have all the years of all your eggs nicely posted, I should have really paid closer attention and fine tuned my arithmetic. :S My BAD!
-
 Oldie but goodie. They were all ceramic in the beginning. Then they switched to CI.That is why the CI ones are still covered under waranty.Cheaper for the Mothership to replace. No brainer. It's all about the bottom line(Benjamins).Still a plus for the users. At least they are still covered under warranty.

You always come out with a politically correct answer such as this. Nice! As usualBGE'er since 1996 Large BGE 1996, Small BGE 1996, Mini BGE 1997 -
Adam when is frozen fest and where in MN? I might consider hauling my big butt up there. If you don't want NFC North Champion fans there I understand
BEAR DOWN... -
Hey Chillin - my 14 year old egg has the original gasket, too!! The ceramic grate broke a few years ago and they replaced it with a CI one.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!
3 Large, 1 Small, 1 well-used Mini -
We have some friends that have an old small with a seam. They use that in their egg.
-
That has some sweet sized holes... is there a difference in airflow between that and current one?
-
Dirty,
