Kari. Tell you something let's leave the salt behind when we go to Salado (salty place) & cook without it, that'd be a nice & healthy challenge.
-
Awesome - incredible! I'll bet this was a very fun cook....you have outdone yourself! :silly:
-
Here is some from my old office...Finding these has been a fun hobby for 25 years. These are 2000 to 10 thousand years old.

LR -

Come to Georgia Mike and we will go spend some time looking for them.
Larry -
seriously, Beli, each post out does the next and I cannot imagine how that can be done!
I would love to see a year in review -- would be hard pressed to pick "just 1"
I know others are just as astounded by the variety and eggcellent quality of your cooks.
Just think it would be fun to see! -
Amazing. Can you tell their maker by any particular sign?
-
Larry, Great looking collection. Years ago I was in a private home in the Chicago area and the host collected old carpenter tools, chisels, woodworking items and he had a counter top height display case that was about 3 feet wide and a motor that displayed these shelves one at a time for close up examination.
-
I sooo want to come to one of your parties.
-
Yes Beli...I have books that tell the age, type, region, tribe and value. It really is a fun hobby but you need to know the state and federal laws where you are hunting for them.
Larry -
Many Thanks Kari, what a kind thing to say, the photos help a lot
-
WOW Richard...I wish you had a picture of it.The one I just bought is 28"wide and 48"long.It is made my Thomasville.Below the display drawer there is two more drawers for my books, pottery and other stuff. When I finish with it I will send you a picture.

I agree with you Kari his cooks and pictures are first class.
Larry -
Most welcome. Bobby, when you come to the factory give me a call
-
Hey Elizabeth TKS I was merely a guest
-
Amazing Larry. First time I see someone collecting them. You will have more spare time now. Congratulations
-
Did you bring your egg to them or did you "persuade" them that they needed an egg as well?
Looks amazing by the way. -
Beautiful steaks Beli. It looks like a good time was enjoyed by all. There's nothing better that cooking with friends and family and having a good time.
Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.

I got it for him a while back. Great to go to friends & find BGE's on location. You know what it is like once you are hooked :P
-
Tks my friend. You are absolutely right it's as if we spoke a different languaje & always enjoy each other's company
-
Beli, I always look forward to your pictures and even though you were a guest this is one of the most fun I've seen. Looking forward to meeting you one of these days!
YB, I'm in north central Oklahoma and have a friend in Pawnee (of the Pawnee Indian tribe) that has a great collection. I'll try to remember to get some pictures for you next time I'm over there.

Envy of the good one crosses all over my body...

Larry,
Very cool hobby indeed. Even more impressive is the collection. -
Thanks Adam...I have really enjoyed finding them and studying about the Creek Indians.
Larry -
awesome as usual beli! cheers!
-
ok. maybe i am just jealous, but how come no one ever responds to my posts with phrases like "Envy of the good one crosses all over my body... "
i mean, i try too.
great looking cook, beli. though (in a twist on an old thread) i maintain that you could post a picture of alaskanC's dryer vent and still receive even more replies than she would. and that's saying something.
where did you get bone in rib eyes with such long rib bones? and a stupid question... i have never seen rib eyes with the long bones like that ('tomahawks'). is it a traditional cook? do you do something with the bones after (soup, etc.?) or is it just a novelty?
pretty funny how they look like lamb chops on a small BGE. the scale is misleadinged egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
Thanks Bruce...I would love to see his collection.
