Im fairly new to BGE (July 2010) and I am thinking about being a cook in the EggStock in Waldorf, MD. Are there any restrictions on being a cook or can just anybody who wants to cook do it? Also are there restrictions on what I have to cook? I just have never been to an eggfest before and wanted to get some feedback from yall first before i start getting too big for my britches.

No restrictions other than you need to cook it on an Egg. You can cook anything you want.
Waldorf is a great Eggfest...just don't plan to cook all day as the fun is going around trying other food & meeting folks...and remember there is always the famous Waldorf Afterparty.... -
I'm debating whether to cook myself. Went to it for the first time last year and had an incredible amount of fun, including sitting in with the band.

cooking yourself could get quite uncomfortable

I think that might be the only thing I haven't seen you try yet, or maybe you have and didn't post it?

CLARIFICATON: I am not planning to 'cook myself.' That would be nasty and I don't fit in even an XL Egg.

Eggfests are so much fun!!! Just do it....you won't be sorry. Our first fest we went as tasters and wished we had cooked.
Cook whatever you like. I would recommend trying to do as much prep work ahead of time if possible.
Take time to enjoy the fest!!!!! -
Thanks for all your input. I think I might do it and see what its like. They will supply an egg to cook on correct? Or will i have to take mine?
-
They will supply one for you unless they run out. Just register as a cook and you will be good.
-
They will supply the egg to cook on for the fest. It wouldn't hurt to bring one for the after party which is the reason we go every year
-
If Mad Max can prepare a tongue and testicle sandwich at Waldorf I think it's fair to say there are no restrictions on what you can cook.

Sounds like fun. I may join you on being a first time Eggfest cook.
