Linux Mint 10

I am a computer geek by trade so I love to mess with different OS's.

I have a Dell Laptop that is a pain. Windows XP and 7 will load but I have to dig up drivers for the wireless and pretty much everything else. So this laptop is my test pc.,

So today I loaded the new Linux Mint 10. And then added the KDE and XFCE desktops. Well I'm usually an XFCE fan but the new KDE on Mint 10 is pretty cool.

Now for the interesting part..everything works right out of the bag. Wireless...everything.

Kind of weird how a free OS works and the paid one's I have to make work!..

Oh well if you have a spare pc sitting around throw mint on it and give it a test drive..

I use Kubuntu and it's great. Slap on open office, gimp, NX, firefox, skype and you are good to go. Sweet stuff.

Linux Mint is Ubuntu...it just has the codecs in it..and everything you just listed.

That is why I have been using it over Kubuntu. Then I add the Ubuntu repositories to it and it is one heck of a system.
