Yup - vegetarian coming for dinner! Have the entree decided upon but would like some help with the appetizer. Mind you, more than one or two mushrooms can fit on the large, so please do not restrict your replies to vegetarian only![p]Oinks,

  • Pigasso,
the spawn does this award winning thing. .. she grills up some italian sausage (you can make this optional for the vegin) . .chops it up fine along with a some of the portobello mushroom, sautes it in a pan with olive oil, rosemary and garlic. . .in a bowl, mix up some milk, some cut up french bread and an egg. . .add in the sauted mushrooms/sausage mixture. .stir in some fresh grated parmesan cheese and a little dizzy tsunami spin or bluesmoke's witchy red. . . put this into the whole portobellos, sprinkle some more grated cheese on top. ..put them on the egg direct at around 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. . .put on plate to serve and sprinkle a little more of the cheese. . .really good. .

  • Pigasso,
We did a four portebellos last week with lump crabmeat combined with some other things, topped with cheese,,I think I found the recipe in archives from last fall--seems like we cooked on lge BGE for 20 min at 350..first we had ever attempted and they were great..
