Alternative To Penzey's

Penzey's is great. Have ordered from them and gotten wonderful items.
Another source is The Spice House (www.thespicehouse.com). Have ordered from store in Milwaukee on Old World Third Street. If I'm not mistaken Penzey's is run by son, Spice House by daughter, of the couple that originally started Penzey's---or something like that. I like them both but recently have ordered more from Spice House. If one is out of something the other may have it.[p]Spices are the flavor of the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I second that recommendation. I tried Penzey's first for the Grains of Paradise. They do not have them; their suggestion was to get something called Mignonette Pepper which is a blend of coriander and peppercorns. So...I called The Spice House (the one in Illinois; there are two) and I had my G of P within just a couple of days. Nice folks; ugly catalog.
