Pizza Stone goes POP!

Well I was doing pizza tonight on the egg. Started fire made sure it was a going put in plate setter and pizza stone and let come up to temp and then put pizza on. About 9 minutes into the cook heard a loud pop! Looked down and could see the stone had cracked! This ever happen to anyone else? Could be just a cheap stone, my other one is quiet a bit thicker. JPF,[p]Not in the egg, but the oven. Our last pampered chef one lasted about 7 years, broke, they replaced it, and we've had this one for three years now.[p]

Was the second time this one was ever used. I got it from linens n things was really cheap came with peel and cutter was like 15 bucks or so.

That's the same one I *HAD*. Mine lasted 4 pizzas before it split into 4 pieces. I still have the peil and cutter. Get a BGE stone.[p]BOB
