BGEWDE,
the looks great. ...couple of questions . .[p]do you do homemade crust?. . .[p]and is it resting on a stone, or is that cast iron? .. [p]just curious... [p]can't wait to see the 'after' pic. .[p]max

It is a stone. I usually make a homemade crust but Publix has started making pizza crust from scratch in their bakery, and I thought I would give it a try.

Here is pizza #2

Here is pizza #2, the finished product. I would love to talk more and give amazing commentary on how I accomplished such a beautiful pizza, but the first one is gone and the second wont last long.

BGEWDE,[p] I haven't tried a pizza yet.. But, a friend gave me a stone. [p]Your pics are inspiring.. that looks sooo good![p]Best,[p]CTB

Charles, pizza on the Egg is like a brick oven pizza, UNBELIEVABLE smoke taste, smokey cheese, underlying brick OVEN BREAD... it does not get ANY BETTER...time to fire up the Egg...

BGEWDE,
Your stone looks well seasoned! What if did you do to if before cooking? Great looking pizza. I have only done pizza twice so far, great taste for sure. I do however have trouble with transfer from peel to stone on the egg. I have tried corn meal with some luck. I am still eggsperimenting, now I am thinking pizza tonight! Jon

BGEWDE,
Might be a Chicago thing, but have you ever tried the cheese on top of the toppings?
-
Scottie,
I have tried it both ways. I order pizza from the local shops with the toppings on top. I guess it is just personal preference.

BGEWDE,[p]I have found that cheese on tops alomoist steams the veggies or meat... Also, nicely browned cheese is quite appealing, plus the veggies or pepperoni is this case, doesn't get as 'charred'...[p]Try using a pesta sauce next time instead of a red sauce... I don't make pizza anymore with a red sauce.[p]Scottie

JPF,[p]You and other T3's (timid transfer types) really should consider a Super Peel. Never stick, miss or mess again. For real.[p]Also, see the Deep Dish recipe in the recipe section. Do it on the stone with just a baking ring.[p]Gaspar
