OT: Need reasonably priced firewood in N. Atlanta
[Deleted User]
In Woodstock, near I-75 and I-575 split. Anyone have a good source for reasonably priced firewood. Looking for half or full cord. Can arrange picking it up, but might want to consider having it delivered.
Thanks in advance.

What do you consider reasonably priced?
(and side note, a cord of firewood is a BUNCH of wood - 4'x4'x8' is quite a bit more than most people can burn in a season here in the south).
Do you want the wood split and seasoned or are you willing to split your own?
Here's one in your area:

A face cord is a half cord, a single row of split wood 4' high and 8' long. -
Yes, you're right, force of habit. I did at least mark it as "OT" in the subject.

I was just kidding but I sure would like to see that forum gone.

I'm about to make your day. Remember that tornado that hit Woodstock/Holly Springs last week? Ride through those neighborhoods and there's wood sitting in their front yards free for the taking. they might even pay you to take it. It's in the Bradshaw Farms/Bradshaw Park area.

A face cord is usually 1/3 of a cord (16" length wood x 4' high x 8' long)...at least around here. -
Using 16" lengths you would be correct.

Just be sure you know what kind of trees you're taking. Some don't fare so well in a fireplace.
And you're assuming he owns both a chainsaw to cut it and a truck to haul it. -

I did a Craigslist search for you...
