Clarification Please

Regarding the daisy wheel and it's level of openess. When y'all talk about the daisy wheel being open are you talking about the little vents in the middle or the whole round part that slides over the big hole?[p]When I started egging, and up until about 2 years ago when I got my large, the temp control for the top was what everyone refers to now as the rain cover (the ceramic cap for the top). So having this extra level of control can be confusing.[p]Thanks for the help

The entire cast iron piece is called a "Duel Function Metal Top". The "daisy wheel" portion is the piece with the vents/holes. The other adjustable piece is called the "slider". (I didn't know that off the top of my head - I had to look it up). Anyway, it was confusing me also so I'm glad you asked. Maybe this "terminology" and the definitions will help everyone.[p]By the way - when I was talking about the daisy wheel - I was referring to the portion with the vents/holes (not the slider). HTH

So I'm assuming that to attain the 350-375° that y'all were talking about meant the slider was closed and the daisy wheel vent holes were all the way open and the botom vent door is open all the way as well?

As Mollyshark says - sniff, I feel so important. Just make sure you don't spell Dual like I did (somehow I don't think the top is challenging anyone to a duel). I hate when I do that!
