Clay and I are busy planning what to cook. We have so many ideas and know we have to narrow it down. But I do have a question. Is anyone bringing a plate setter for the LG? We only have XL & Med and realize we'll be cooking on larges.

What is everyone cooking?

And what's our count as of today?

Can't wait to see everyone... :)

  • I usually pack my large plate setter and a few other gadgets just in case there's a need. Others do that too. It shouldn't be a problem.

We're also trying to think of somethingn to cook. I hope to do my club soda biscuits and my cornbread omelets for the early birds who come hungry. After that we don't know what else we'll cook yet. I was thinking of smoking a Turkey Ham. It's really good and so easy.

Heck, we might end up makeing bourbon meatballs again. Those are really good.

But we're both Eggcited and will see you Friday. Only about 10,000 seconds left.

All your ideas sound great. We might be cooking a breakfast thing too (that's what we need the plate setter for). Also doing some "very special" fajitas, and maybe stuffed shrooms and mexican brownies (not what you're expecting)!

Looking forward to seeing you guys again...tell Ms. Hen "hello".

Drove to Austin's Central Market last night for blueberry sausage.
    So that and ????
In the past two days noticed (Plano/Frisco) 2 area eggers (newer eggers)posting..
Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given another Mini to add to the herd.

Woo to the Hoo, new addicts! Think they're coming next weekend?

Blueberry sausage? What do you do with that? I love blueberries and sausage, it will have to be good.

I did a demo cook at Elliotts today and there are a lot of new eggers eggsited about next weekend. Alec has the demo eggs ready to go and is getting a new shipment of Dizzy Pig products on the way for us. He's bringing a pallet of Ozark Oak, too. The bartenders at the American Legion are ready! The booze has been stocked, and the weather is supposed to be nice. Remember, we have free transportation provided to and from the hotel.Well, back to work for me, I still need to get hot on the nametags.

    Tammie,
The Demo Eggs at Plano this year include a platesetter in the price.
All the demo Eggs will have them to use. Great deal.
Good time to add a large to your collection.
    Thank you,

Sounds like all we need are some cooks and food and we're ready to go! Thank you Steve for all you've done to make this possible for us. It is an addiction you know...

That is a good deal, had forgotten the price included the plate setter. Wish we could afford a large, but not at this time. We're hoping to win a mini though! We don't have one of those little babies.

  • Still trying to make it down there and hoping to bring my buddy Brad that has become an egghead since the last OKC eggfest.

A couple of quick questions since I've not attended this one...are there enough eggs provided or do I need to bring one with me? And, I just saw that NASCAR will be in town the same weekend so any driving instructions that might help avoid the minions headed for the track?

    Thanks in advance,

    Bruce

    Bruce,
    Great news...
There should be enough Eggs to cook with but always room for another.
As far as the races and traffic, you got me. Did not know myself and not from the Dallas area so I will be at the mercy as well.
    Safe travels,
    Darian

Where will you be coming from? I35 is the north/south hiway most affected by the racetrack. I think there are a few places to cut over to the east if you're on I35. If you're coming in on another hiway, shouldn't have any problems.
