wonder if any of us here care to waste a cup of their favorite whiskey on this one.

Chef Wil,
that sounds really cool . . .guess you could do the same thing with beer butt tsunami spin bird. . ..would be quite the presentation. ..

Chef Wil,[p]It involves fire ... yeah, I'll try it! That's one of the dozen or so reasons I love my eggs. Also why I bought a mapp gas torch![p]Just a big kid I guess![p]Keep smokin![p]Smokey

Smokey,
Sounds like your bout ready to graduate to a chiminea...aarghh aarghh ( Tim Allen style ) LOL...more wood, more wood..LOL[p]Wess

Chef Wil,[p]It's weird how it calls for whiskey in the ingredient list but in the how-to portion says to use cognac or brandy. I think either cognac or brandy would be better than whiskey.

Pakak,
how's about 151 rum!?

WessB,[p]I'd love one, but the wife is a little paranoid about any fires on the wooden deck (No issues with the egg, but the chiminea could drive her over the egde). I have to tread lightly in that area![p]Smokey

stike,[p]Yeah, that might work. From my recollection, once the alcohol burns off there isn't a real strong, overpowering flavor. The spices in the recipe just don't sound like they'd go with whiskey. Cognac or brandy (maybe plum?) sound like they'd go best with an Asian theme.

Chef Wil,[p]Whoever tries it first better have lots of pics. Looks like something that you might have to try a couple times before inviting firends over to watch.[p]CWM
