Asked my butcher to have this cut into 7, my lucky number, specially if it comes in the form of 7 ribeyes 2 3/4"....14.2 lbs.

Defrosting............

These continents meant the world to me........ :P

Loren had the table set beautifully....

Rubbed with mustard & DP Raising The Steaks...Fired the XL 600* Dome, 90 seconds each side for a nice T'Rexed sear............Fire...Fire....Fire.....

Set them apart 20 min. while lowering the temp. to 380* & then 8 min. per side......Achieved a nice medium term............

Rosita's Rajas de Chile Poblano were DE-LI-CIOUS

& also was Ninel's decadent Cheese Cake........

Bonita had a great time.......................

& The birthday girl Adrianita sitting at the far right had The Mariachi to celebrate!!!!

A great evening with great friends..........Have a great sunday!!!

Beli you have to have the luckest friends live!! Everything looks great as all ways!! I love that serving container. Is it a Homer Lofton piece? That is a brand name. Wife fiddles in FLOW BLUE china and a little Homer Lofton. By the way I got the video. Sure would like to have a couple hours on that track with that car. Of course I would probably kill myself!!

Beli, beautiful as always.
"continents" haha. Those were some big honkin' steaks! They must've been amazing. Looks like everyone had a good time.

As always EGGcelent! What temp did you cook for the 8 minutes? 375-400?? When are you back in the states for pick-up? This is my unlucky week. They currently have a tropical storm named after me "RICHARD". Hope all is well.

Don't worry Richard, we won't hold the T.S. against you. You should feel honored, I'm pretty sure there will never be a T.S. named Blair. LOL.

Deane, It is Noritake porcelain belonged to my grandmother & my mother gave the set to Loren. if I remember well it dates back to the late part of the 19th. century. Isn't that race car great, kept repeating the video all day yesterday. :P

At least three if you count the Texas Eggfest in Austin and The Egghead Gatherings in Plano and Salado.
I think we need something in the Houston area to fill in the blank place.
Had some pressure to hold another Coop Fest. But that's a tall order at the moment.
Maybe we should just go ahead and schedule a "Roving Eggfest" and schedule one somewhere for every weekend. Then we can see which one's are best and decide on just ten or twelve to be the Official sites.
