Hi All,
I saw (I believe here) a recipe for smashed potatoes. I think the person that posted it was from Australia. It was like a bunch of small potatos on a tray that were smashed, and cooked. Does anyone know what I'm talking about??

redneck6497,
I don't know the one you are talking about but Doug in Eggmonton did some great ones when he visited my place. Just olive oil, salt and pepper and fresh rosemary.

She does some awesome dishes, but her blog is also fun to read...

Here's my favourite. But I like them cooked in duck fat!

Another way to accomplish more or less the same result is to cut up the potatoes into bite size, put them (unboiled) in a casserole (Pyrex or some such), drizzle with evoo, then salt, pepper and chopped fresh rosemary. Throw in some unpeeled garlic cloves and toss to coat.
Into the oven or egg at 425° for about 30-35 minutes. Delicious!!I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Thanks for all of the responses on crash hots! Thepioneerwoman recipe is the one that I saw originally, but I am going to try some of the other ideas too.
