Hardwood furniture movers to move a heavy table

My table is made of mahogany with a granite top, so it is very heavy. For several reasons, I built it without casters. I needed to move it this Fall in order to stain the deck. Solution - pick it up, one end at a time, and have my wife slide hardwood floor furniture movers/slides under each leg. Then is was easy to move. This may be a common solution, but I had never used them on a deck before. Worked great.
