I am in the finishing phases of putting together a table and was wondering what the best platform for the Egg would be? My preliminary thoughts is a Granite tile. From the pictures, it appears most have pavers (which are about three times as thick), is the norm.

Any advice would be great and thank you ahead of time.

P.S. Yes, I have the feet for air flow.

A paver is what you want to use because of the thickness. Then place your little green feetunder the egg on top of the paver. Position one under the hinge mechanism [12 o'clock] and the other two at 4 & 8 o'clock. This provides an airspace between the egg and the paver to reduce heat transfer.
This is pretty important. There have been several instances of fires from eggs sitting just on a paver or worse yet, a piece of granite or other tile. Just within the past week or so someone lost his entire garage. A few years ago another egger nearly lost his entire house.
    A 16'paver fits under the large :)
